a letter from the founder

halva beauty founder as a young girl in a pink lehenga beside her sister, smiling during a childhood moment that inspired her love for beauty rituals

i’m the one on the left—wrapped in my favorite pink lehenga, next to my sister in blue. it was 2000, and instead of printing shipping labels (thankfully), i was fully committed to a very important photoshoot.

growing up in an indian household, beauty was never just about looking good. it was ritual. every sunday, my mom would massage almond and castor oils into our hair—always with care, always with intention. it wasn’t about perfection. it was about connection: to tradition, to family, to ourselves.

as i got older, i saw people around me trying to rebuild their brows after years of damage—and i wondered, why isn’t there a brow oil that’s gentle, natural, and rooted in rituals we already trust?

so i started experimenting—at first in my kitchen, then in small batches. eventually, halva beauty was born: a brand inspired by tradition, built for today. our brow oil is a small but powerful way to reclaim your routine, honor where you come from, and show up naturally—just as you are.

thank you for being here, and for letting me be a part of your beauty ritual.

with love,
kiren
