crushing parle-g & dreaming in castor oil: a founder throwback

1997 baby photo of Halva Beauty founder eating a Parle-G biscuit — celebrating the cultural roots behind her natural brow oil ritual

before clean beauty, there were biscuits

this was me in 1997: crushing parle-g biscuits, not formulas. i wasn’t thinking about castor oil or brow growth—i was just soaking in the culture that would one day shape my beauty brand.

indian rituals, passed down

my mom would massage almond and castor oils into our hair every weekend. it was soothing. intimate. sacred. i didn’t know it then, but these rituals—rooted in indian beauty traditions—would later become the heart of halva beauty.

from hair oiling to brow oil

i created halva beauty’s nourishing brow oil as a clean, modern extension of those moments. it’s formulated with organic castor, sweet almond, and babassu oils—no chemicals, no fillers. just ingredients our moms and grandmothers would recognize.

the story behind every swipe

this photo is a reminder: before the packaging and the shopify site, there was just a girl, her culture, and a biscuit. halva beauty is about going back to those roots—while growing something new.
